Nghe An Province Ethnic Committee organizes activities to commemorate War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27)
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), a working delegation of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province led by Comrade Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee offered incense, flowers, commemorated heroic martyrs and visited and presented gifts to families of war invalids and people with revolutionary contributions.
Respectfully offering flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Truong Bon National Historical Site, the delegation of the Provincial Ethnic Committee expressed their admiration and deep gratitude to the 13 heroic martyrs of the Youth Volunteers of Company 317, Team 65, the General Youth Volunteers of Nghe An Province; those who devoted their youth, fought and heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

At the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery, Anh Son District, which has received and cared for nearly 11,000 graves of martyrs who died on the battlefield in Laos, the delegation respectfully bowed to express their infinite gratitude for the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the friendship of the two nations. Their heroic sacrifice always reminds generations of pride in the glorious past of the nation, in the loyal and steadfast solidarity of the two countries of Vietnam - Laos.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to families of war invalids, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions in Luc Da and Mon Son communes, Con Cuong district.

The delegation also visited the house of Mr. Vi Van Khang - where the first Party cell of the Western Nghe An region was established. Mr. Vi Van Khang was also the first Party cell secretary of the ethnic minorities and mountainous areas of Nghe An.
