For example, the article"Severe pollution in Cau Duoc Ward"A reader named Hoang Anh wrote: “The woodworking factory of the handicraft joint-stock company, which caused severe pollution in Truong Thi ward since 1993-1994, has now moved to Dong Vinh, but it's still 'old wine in new bottles.' Yet, as the newspaper reported, 'the business fled, and the authorities remained silent,' which is a great injustice to the people.”
From Quy Chau district, another reader named Nguyen Trung Thanh (Quy Chau town) commented after reading the news.Gasoline prices dropped by 500."From 8 AM this morning"They promptly informed us that: “Since the morning of October 17th, the price of A92 gasoline has decreased nationwide to 16,000 VND, but in Quy Chau it is still being sold to people at 16,700 VND/liter? Why is there such a difference?”
One of the target audiences for Nghe An Online is young readers. This has certainly been proven by the numerous letters expressing joy that were sent in as soon as the newspaper officially launched.
With heartfelt emotion, reader Luong Duc Ki wrote to us from the capital: “It’s quite a coincidence, but this is something I’ve long wished for. This morning I learned that the Nghe An online newspaper has launched. Far from home, I send my most sincere regards to your newspaper and hope this will be a channel of information that helps us feel closer to our hometown.” Many readers couldn’t hide their emotions: “Reading journalist Tran Hai’s article, I feel nostalgic for my hometown of Thanh Chuong, calling out to each other over cups of green tea” (The meaning of a cup of tea).(chat)... Stories about a successful businessman from Nghe An in Da Lat, and about an outstanding young poet from Nghe An in the capital city have been warmly received by readers.

Help Doanh (who has a disability) interact online with readers. |
Over 2.4 million readers have accessed Nghe An Online in the past year, a priceless source of encouragement for the newspaper. Receiving such sentiments, we journalists are also deeply concerned because there are still many things that readers, especially those far from home, wish the newspaper could do that we haven't yet been able to fulfill. Most recently, during the campaign commemorating the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, reader Nguyen Sy Ho (Tan Binh, Tan Yen, Binh Duong) after reading the article: "July, Returning to Our Heroes," sent the editorial board a letter recounting his journey to find a fallen soldier for his brother 31 years after his brother's sacrifice. What is particularly commendable is that after ensuring his brother's resting place in his hometown, he carefully photographed 125 grave map diagrams from the archives of Regiment 271 (Long An), many of which listed addresses in Nghe An. Wishing to share this information with our readers, he conveyed his request to us... Yet, to this day, we are still missing our deadline.
It's clear that in the 360 days since the online newspaper went live, each day has brought both joy and challenges. Those of us working in online journalism consider readers to be one of the most important indicators of the newspaper's growth. Receiving feedback from readers is also a way for us to reflect on ourselves and strive to become a trusted source of information for readers across the country and abroad.
