Handing over 'Red Cross' houses to poor households in Nam Dan

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 15, the Red Cross Association of the North Central provinces held the inauguration and handover of a "Red Cross" house to Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc's family in Hamlet 6, Xuan Hoa Commune, Nam Dan District.

Attending the ceremony were the Presidents of the Red Cross Societies of 6 provinces in the North Central region: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and leaders of Nam Dan district.

Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc is a veteran, in poor health, and is currently seriously ill. His wife is often sick, and both daughters work and have families far away. His family is in extremely difficult circumstances, and for many years now, they have lived in an old, dilapidated house.

With the support of the Red Cross Association of the North Central provinces, his family was able to build a solid house. The new house of Mr. Phuc's family has a total area of ​​nearly 70 m², worth 110 million VND, of which the Red Cross Society of 6 provinces in the North Central region supported 60 million, brothers and neighbors helped a part.
