Handing over 'Red Cross' houses to poor households in Nam Dan.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 15th, the Red Cross Societies of the North Central provinces held an inauguration and handover ceremony for a "Red Cross" house to the family of Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc in Hamlet 6, Xuan Hoa Commune, Nam Dan District.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairpersons of the Red Cross Societies of six provinces in the North Central region: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue, as well as leaders of Nam Dan district.

Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc is a veteran with poor health, currently suffering from a serious illness. His wife is frequently ill, and his two daughters have both moved away to work and have families. Their circumstances are particularly difficult; for many years, his family has lived in an old, dilapidated house.

With the support of the Red Cross Society of the North Central provinces, Mr. Phuc's family was able to build a sturdy house. The new house has a total area of ​​nearly 70 square meters.²The project, valued at 110 million VND, included 60 million VND from the Red Cross of 6 provinces in the North Central region, and the remainder from relatives and neighbors.
