Handing over 'Shelter of Love' house to poor women

(Baonghean.vn) - Afternoon of August 21,The Women's Union of Quynh Luu district and Quynh Long commune handed over "Warm House of Love" houses to poor women members in Phu Thanh village, Quynh Long commune.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, born in 1954, is single and has a son who has been working away from home for many years without any news. She herself has no stable job and is always sick. For many years, despite having to live in a cramped, old, damaged and seriously degraded house, her family still has no means to repair it.

Carrying out the campaign to build "Warm House of Love", the Women's Union of Quynh Luu district and Quynh Long commune, the Party Committee of Phu Thanh village donated 24 million VND, relatives helped 70 million VND, supporting Ms. Loan's family to build a new house.

Construction started in March 2017, after nearly 5 months of construction with the help of working days from the staff and women's union members of Quynh Long commune, the house with an area of ​​60m², with a total value of 170 million VND, has been completed and put into use.

In the joy of inaugurating the new house, Ms. Loan's family also received many meaningful gifts including essential items from organizations and individuals.
