Handing over charity houses to poor households

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 12, the Red Cross Society of Tuong Duong district coordinated with the People's Committee of Nhon Mai commune to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of a gratitude house to Mr. Kha Van Hoa, in Na Hy village, Nhon Mai commune.

Kha Van Hoa’s family is one of the poorest and most disadvantaged families in Na Hy village. Hoa’s house, which houses 5 people (2 parents and 3 children, one of whom has a brain disease), has been in disrepair for many years and is unsafe, especially during the rainy season. However, due to difficult economic conditions, they are unable to repair it themselves.

With the cooperation of all levels and sectors, the financial support of the district Red Cross Society, and the help of the commune's Party Committee and government, after a period of construction, the 3-room house is now made of wood with an area of ​​about 60 m2.², the roof is covered with finished corrugated iron.

The total construction cost is 100 million VND, of which the District Red Cross Society supports 30,217,000 VND (donated from organizations and individuals in the district), the rest is supported by relatives, and the people in the village contribute labor days.

Touched at the house donation ceremony, Mr. Hoa said that the community's support will be a great motivation for him and his wife to improve their lives./.
