On the morning of May 12th, in Vung Tau City (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), the Petrochemical Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation and the Vietnam-Czech Technology Joint Stock Company handed over the H47 high-speed patrol boat to the Vietnam Coast Guard Command.

The H47 high-speed patrol boat is designed and manufactured using modern technology, employing PPC (polypropylene copolymer) composite material, one of the highest-grade materials currently used in the manufacture of ships, boats, and canoes... due to its ability to withstand strong impacts, its long lifespan, its ability to operate well in harsh weather conditions, and its environmentally friendly nature.

According to Le Van Hoc, Deputy Director of Vietnam-Czech Technology Joint Stock Company, the H47 high-speed patrol boat, measuring over 13.5 meters in length and nearly 3.5 meters in width, can carry 12 people. After a period of testing, it has been licensed by the Ministry of National Defense's registration authority.

The boat was designed and manufactured using automatic welding and cutting technology on a European shipbuilding production line, with the expert support of foreign specialists. The PPC material is waterproof and resistant to marine organisms, significantly reducing hydraulic drag. This allows the H47 boat to reach a maximum speed of over 30 knots, making it highly suitable for patrol and mission operations at sea.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Major General Nguyen Quang Dam, Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard, said that putting the H47 high-speed boat into operation will greatly support the coast guard force in patrolling, protecting, and enforcing the law at sea.

On behalf of the Vietnam Coast Guard, Major General Nguyen Quang Dam thanked the sponsoring unit, the Petrochemical Fertilizer and Chemical Corporation, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, and also expressed gratitude to organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally who have shown concern, encouragement, and support for the Coast Guard in successfully fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party, State, and Army.

The H47 vessel will be assigned to the Coast Guard Region 3 for management and operation.
