Despite announcing many disciplinary decisions related to the First Division and V-League last week, the VFF Disciplinary Board did not announce an even more serious disciplinary decision that occurred earlier in the national Second Division.

Specifically, in the play-off match for the right to be promoted to the First Division between Ba Ria Vung Tau and Pho Hien, after losing to Pho Hien with a score of 1-4, dissatisfied with the way the referee team controlled the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau players rushed onto the field to chase and beat the referee team.

Ba Ria Vung Tau players chased and beat the referee on the afternoon of July 18, at the 2018 National Second Division tournament.

It took the intervention of the police force present on the field for the referee team to be escorted into the tunnel inside the field after being chased for a while.

The incident is considered very serious, damaging the image of Vietnamese football, and requires severe penalties to deter violators, and at the same time set an example for unsportsmanlike and undisciplined behavior, and to rectify the disciplinary system of domestic football. However, after many days of the incident, the Disciplinary Board of the VFF has not yet issued any penalties related to this incident.

The next thing worth mentioning is the incident of Ba Ria Vung Tau players chasing and beating the referee team that happened before the incidents in round 20 of the V-League (July 20, 21 and 22), as well as before round 13 of the First Division (July 21, 22 and 23).

But up to now, disciplinary sentences for violations in round 13 of the First Division and round 20 of the V-League have been issued, while the much more serious violation, related to the incident where Ba Ria Vung Tau players chased and beat the referee, has not been issued?!
