After 15 years of working in the Vietnamese rock scene, the band Microwave officially released their third album titled “10” on the afternoon of December 25 in Hanoi.
Tran Lap - leader of the group "Buc Tuong" unexpectedly appeared before the press conference, congratulating his juniors Microwave on releasing the album "10".
The leader of the "The Wall" group also said that he is still receiving treatment according to the treatment regimen and will soon stabilize so that he can soon return to practice with the group.
Tran Lap looked much thinner and paler than before, he shared, taking advantage of the time before radiation therapy to come and share the joy with Microwave.
Microwave band was founded in 2001 after the second “National Student Bands” competition. Microwave is considered one of the typical bands of the young rock band generation in Vietnam with a modern and individual musical style.
Up to this point, Microwave has released two albums: "Exit" (2005) and "Time" (2009).
As a rock band from Ho Chi Minh City, Microwave decided to choose Hanoi as the official launch location for their new music product because this place has been marked with many memorable performances as well as Microwave's special connection with the audience.
Explaining the album title “10” - group leader Tran Tung said: “10 is the 10-year milestone since the group released its first album. This album is also a product that marks a period of many ups and downs of Microwave's activities in a decade of music.”
True to its title, “10” also includes 10 new compositions by the band. Still loyal to the modern rock style, Microwave’s music in this album is more narrative and focuses on topics about personal emotions and life experiences of the band members.
In particular, Microwave introduces new electronic materials and keeps up with popular music trends in the world.

Regarding this, musician Tran Lap also shared with the press, "I see this as one of the very modern albums and at the forefront of current music products with the trend of electronic music (EDM). This makes it easy for people who don't listen to rock music to accept."
The album “10” was recorded by the band in their own studio. Notably, the production was handled by Chris Hesse, drummer and producer of the famous rock band Hoobastank, who has been nominated for 3 Grammy Awards for Music Producer.
Therefore, Microwave is confident that this is a rock disc with international standard recording quality.
After the press conference in Hanoi, on the evening of December 25, Microwave also had a mini show at Polygon bar. The program had guest bands “Bui Gio” and “Oringchains.”
Next, on January 25, the group will have a performance to promote the new album in Da Nang and finally on March 25 in Ho Chi Minh City./.
