The launch of the Information Portal is one of the efforts demonstrating the collective leadership and staff of the Internal Affairs Department to quickly stabilize the organizational structure of a newly re-established agency, in order to begin fulfilling the political tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people according to Decision 158-QĐ/TW and Decision 159-QĐ/TW dated December 28, 2012, of the Politburo.

With 11 categories, the information portal meets the following requirements: disseminating and thoroughly understanding the Party's guidelines, policies, and the State's laws on internal affairs and anti-corruption; conducting theoretical research, exchanging ideas, and summarizing practical experiences in internal affairs and anti-corruption; reflecting and highlighting exemplary models, good people, good deeds, and new factors in the fight against corruption, illegal acts, and other negative phenomena; providing information on internal affairs and anti-corruption activities from the central to local levels; and sharing international lessons learned in anti-corruption work.

Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Pham Anh Tuan assessed that "information and propaganda on internal affairs and anti-corruption work on the internet have an important position, role, and significance, meeting the requirements of cadres, Party members, and the people regarding this work."
