Fireworks display to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Sea Festival.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has approved the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee's request to organize a low-altitude fireworks display as part of the art program celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Sea Festival on the evening of August 8, 2013.
In 2003, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province implemented the idea of promoting the local tourism brand through a cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism program called the Nha Trang Sea Festival. Since then, the Nha Trang Sea Festival has been held every two years with many cultural, artistic, sports, tourism activities, seminars, and many vibrant and attractive programs. Particularly noteworthy is the program promoting awareness about the sea and islands through music and dance performances with themes about the homeland's sea and islands, photo exhibitions about Truong Sa (Spratly Islands), etc., thereby contributing to affirming the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.
To evaluate the achievements of the past 10 years of organizing the sea festival, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province will organize an art program to celebrate this event; at the same time, it will gather feedback from businesses, tourists, and local people, thereby contributing to making the organization more effective and attractive.
