Bride's father kills neighbor girl while shooting at wedding
The 22-year-old woman was standing on the terrace of her house watching a DJ play music at a wedding when she was hit in the forehead by a bullet.

According toBBCMr. Ashok Khosla shot his neighbor, Ms. Sakshi Arora (22 years old), in Hoshiarpur, Punjab state, India on the evening of February 10. Mr. Ashok intended to shoot into the air to celebrate his daughter's wedding but accidentally shot Sakshi in the forehead, killing the young girl on the spot.
Police arrested Mr. Ashok shortly after, and the investigation revealed that the bullet that killed Sakshi came from his gun. Police confirmed that Mr. Ashok was drunk at the time.Ashok's friend, who also fired shots during the ceremony but fled, is also being sought.
The victim's father, Charanjit Arora, said his daughter was in her final year of a master's degree. She had been standing on the terrace of her house looking over to Ashok's house to watch the DJ play music. "Suddenly, a wedding celebratory bullet went up and hit Sakshi in the forehead," Charajit told the newspaper.Hindustan Times.

This is not the first time someone has been killed by gunfire at a wedding in India. Last November, an 8-year-old child died in a similar incident.
In November 2016, one person died and three were injured after a woman standing on the dance floor opened fire.A month later, a 25-year-old dancer was also killed by a drunk guest at a wedding in Bathinda, Punjab.
