During the historic flood in June 2016, the spillway connecting Le village with Chau Hoi commune center collapsed, greatly affecting people's lives.
Ban Le is located less than 1km from the commune center, with a total of 197 households and 878 people. Since the bridge collapsed, the people of Ban Le have continuously had to contribute bamboo and wood to build a temporary bridge for their children to go to school. However, just one rain and the water from the source can wash away the bridge. Many people can no longer remember how many times they have had to build a bridge in the past year.

Because it is a temporary bridge, the bridge pillars are made of bamboo poles, the bridge deck is made of wooden pieces, and the bridge railings are made of temporary railings. With its rudimentary structure, people face many dangers every time they cross the bridge. People said that every time they cross the bridge, they have to hold their breath for fear that the bridge could collapse at any time. The most worrying thing is that students still have to cross the bridge every day to go to school.
