(Baonghean.vn) - The Organizing Committee of the Art Program "Legend of a Road" of the General Department of Politics in coordination with the Political Department of Military Region 4, the Military Command of Nghe An Province, and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union presented 70 gifts to war veterans of Truong Son Army, former youth volunteers, and poor students who overcame difficulties to study well in Do Luong district.
Towards the 129th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2019) and the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh trail - the traditional day of Truong Son troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2019), on the afternoon of May 8, at the People's Committee of Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, the Organizing Committee of the Art Program "Legend of a road" of the General Department of Politics organized a gift-giving ceremony for policy beneficiaries in Do Luong district.
Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong - Deputy Head of the Military Youth Department, Colonel Trinh Van Hung - Deputy Head of Political Department of Military Region 4, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Thai Duc Hanh - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, leaders of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and sponsoring units.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Art Program "Legend of a Road" of the General Department of Politics presented 70 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to veterans of Truong Son Army, former youth volunteers, and poor students who overcame difficulties to study well in Do Luong district.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented a children's playground worth 60 million VND to Luu Son commune. This is a practical activity to express the gratitude of the current generation of officers and soldiers of the Army for the fighting and sacrifice of generations of Truong Son veterans and former youth volunteers who have made many contributions to the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail; to encourage poor students to have more motivation to continue to overcome difficulties and achieve high results in their studies.

Also on this occasion, in Nghe An province, the program's Organizing Committee will continue to present gifts to veterans of the Truong Son Army, former youth volunteers, poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well; and give houses of gratitude to policy families in Tan Ky district - where the Kilometer Zero Relic is located - the starting point of the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail.
