The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee met to discuss the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic
(Baonghean.vn) - In the context of the province recording the first case of Covid-19 in the community, on the morning of May 7, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee met to listen to and give instructions on epidemic prevention and control work in the province.
Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches. The conference was held online to 21 districts, cities and town Party Committees.

F1, F2 TRACING SET
The positive patient is NPQ (47 years old, Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town). Regarding this case, by 10:00 a.m. on May 7, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that 89 F1 cases had been traced. All F1 cases were 100% isolated at commune health stations and samples were taken for testing. Hundreds of F2 cases have also been traced.
To meet the testing needs, the Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that there are 6 locations in the province that are capable of testing with a capacity of 2,000 tests/day. Currently, Nghe An continues to trace, isolate, and test F1, while continuing to expand testing for F2.

Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long said: The health sector has traced 75 people in the F1 category at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Branch 2, including patients and their relatives. Currently, there are 36 F1 cases in the province and all samples have been taken for testing, thereby detecting the Covid-19 case in Hoang Mai.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province said that the Steering Committee's viewpoint is that if an epidemic occurs in an area, it is best to handle it right there, if medical conditions are ensured, limit infected people from moving to other areas; at the same time, there must be stricter measures in the process of searching for and detecting related cases.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also said that he had contacted the leaders of Military Region 4 to support anti-epidemic equipment such as disinfectant spraying vehicles in Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town.
The head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Nghe An province also emphasized that the remaining cases related to the outbreak at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Branch 2, have tested negative, but must continue to be monitored. At the same time, cases of citizens returning from abroad who have been quarantined and returning to their localities must have measures to continue to quarantine, monitor their health and take samples for testing.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the whole province, all localities must seriously implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic at the highest level, especially recommending people to limit going out, not gathering in crowds, and requiring people to wear masks...

DETECTION, CONTAMINATION, EXTERMINATION, ON-SITE TREATMENT
Concluding this content, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy requested districts, cities, towns, agencies, departments and branches to focus on reviewing and updating plans and scenarios for Covid-19 prevention and control, and supplementing new instructions from the Central Government, the Central Steering Committee, the Ministry of Health, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested to avoid: "being subjective, negligent, losing vigilance", but at the same time, we must be proactive, extremely alert, flexible and creative to handle situations, choose appropriate solutions for each locality, and not make people panic and worry.

In particular, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, it is necessary to attach responsibility to the leaders; at the same time, promote the self-management and supervision role of the community and people to provide information to the authorities to handle the situation.
The province has directed the reactivation of all centralized quarantine areas in the province. However, in this new context, districts, cities, and towns need to proactively prepare centralized quarantine facilities at the district level when situations arise.
The Provincial Party Secretary also agreed with the motto of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, which is to detect, isolate, suppress the epidemic, and treat on-site. When it is necessary to supplement resources, human resources, and material resources, the Provincial Steering Committee will consider and mobilize them; however, it is also important to strictly implement medical examination and treatment procedures, ensure safety in disease prevention and control at treatment facilities, and avoid outbreaks.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy also agreed to increase testing for high-risk subjects when returning to the province; requested to strengthen information and propaganda work. The Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control needs to review and consider carefully to have appropriate solutions for the Education sector.
Regarding Hoang Mai town, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that it is necessary to be extremely alert to continue to handle the situation well; at the same time, agree with the viewpoint of the Provincial Steering Committee and Hoang Mai town on social distancing of the entire town according to Directive 15, blockade of 5 villages of Quynh Lap commune and Quynh Lap Central Dermatology Hospital until control, tracing, and testing are completed before considering lifting social distancing and social distancing; continue to investigate and trace F1, F2 to best implement prevention and control work.
