Miss Ocean Organizing Committee: 'Will consider revoking Miss title of Le Au Ngan Anh'
Ngan Anh hopes that the authorities and public will give her a chance to prove herself after being criticized for getting a nose job and still competing in a beauty pageant.

Ngan Anh had her nose lifted using artificial silicon cartilage. I believe the judges have their reasons for choosing me. In the worst case, if I am stripped of the crown, I will be heartbroken and disappointed.I hope the authorities will investigate and bring fair results for me..I look forward to the opportunity to prove my role to the community.", Ngan Anh shared.
Regarding the fact that beauty Nguyen Thi Thanh had her Miss Tourism runner-up title revoked because of dental work in March 2017, Ngan Anh said that she cannot be compared to Nguyen Thi Thanh because she removed the cartilage, while Thanh did not do anything similar.

On November 14, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien - directed the Ministry Inspectorate and the Department of Performing Arts to thoroughly handle the scandal of Miss Ocean 2017. The results must be reported to the Minister before November 24.

Mr. Chung apologized andadmitted his mistake as a representative of the organizing committee. He said that, due to a subjective misunderstanding of the legal regulations and conditions of the contestants, the organizing committee agreed to let Le Au Ngan Anh - who had a nose job in March 2016 - participate in the Miss Ocean finals. According to him, the organizing committee's mistake stemmed from the confusion between the view of natural beauty and "fixing and removing".
In addition, the designer hopes public opinion willgive Ngan Anh a chance. "She is only 22 years old. In a competition, anything can happen. Everyone needs a chance to correct mistakes," Mr. Chung shared.
In a written report to the Ministry of Culture Inspectorate, Mr. Chung admitted to violating Decree 158 on allowing unqualified candidates to take the exam. According to regulations, the fine for this is from two to six million VND.

This is a human issue and the final decision rests with the organizing committee..If we have to punish, I think we should punish the adults - the organizers, not the children - Miss Ngan Anh. If the organizers are wrong, we must deal with them and punish them severely. We can even stop all competitions that the organizers will apply for licenses for in the future or ban the unit from continuing to operate in the field of culture and entertainment," said Mr. Vuong Duy Bien.

After the final round of Miss Ocean 2017 on the evening of October 28, the Department of Performing Arts received many responses about contestant Le Au Ngan Anh having plastic surgery but still winning the crown.
