Gang of people slashing passersby to rob property were arrested urgently
Three bold robbers blocked passersby, used machetes to threaten them and robbed them of their property.
On the afternoon of January 21, My Tho City Police, Tien Giang Province, announced that they had just arrested three suspects: Nguyen Tan Hieu (21 years old), Giang Quoc Khai (17 years old), and Nguyen Ngoc Quy (17 years old, all residing in Thoi Son Commune, My Tho City) to investigate and clarify the act of robbery.

According to initial investigation results, at around 2:00 a.m. on January 20, Hieu, Khai, Quy and a group of friends were drinking at a restaurant on Le Van Pham Street (Ward 5, My Tho City).
After finishing drinking, the three of them went on a motorbike with license plate number 63FN - 0351 towards Rach Mieu bridge to go home. When they got to Rach Mieu bridge, they saw Mr. Bui Van Dung (living in Ben Tre province) walking on the bridge, so they took out hammers and machetes and stopped him.
Hieu used a machete to slash Mr. Dung's hand, then all three searched the victim and took Mr. Dung's cell phone.

Then, all three discovered that Mr. Tran Van Thuong (living in Soc Trang province) was carrying his sister on a motorbike with license plate number 60B9 - 020.07 passing Rach Mieu bridge towards Ben Tre province, so they forced Mr. Thuong's motorbike to the side of the road.
Hieu used a machete to slash Mr. Thuong's helmet and motorbike many times in a threatening manner. After that, they stole a cell phone and 5.4 million VND.
After receiving a report from the victim about the gang's identification characteristics, that same night, My Tho City police launched an investigation and caught the three robbers.
