Egyptian Newspaper: Opening up new prospects for Egypt-Vietnam cooperation
The Egyptian Gazette - the oldest English-language daily newspaper in the Middle East - commented that President Tran Dai Quang's visit to Egypt opens up new prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

According to Egyptian newspapers, President Tran Dai Quang and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Luxor city, beginning a four-day state visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
On August 27, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and President Tran Dai Quang will hold talks in Cairo with the discussion expected to open up new prospects for cooperation between Egypt and Vietnam in many fields such as politics, economics, trade, investment, culture and education.
The state visit to Egypt by President Tran Dai Quang is the first official visit by a Vietnamese head of state to Egypt since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1963. Egypt is one of the first Arab countries to have relations with Vietnam.

According to The Egyptian Gazette, speaking to Egyptian media, President Tran Dai Quang expressed his delight at making a state visit to Egypt on the occasion of the two countries organizing practical activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of establishing official diplomatic relations.
In an interview with the Egyptian press, President Tran Dai Quang affirmed: “The Vietnamese people will never forget the wholehearted support that the Egyptian people have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for national independence as well as in the current national construction and development. We always pay close attention and sincerely congratulate the great achievements that the Egyptian State and people have achieved in recent times, helping Egypt rise to become one of the three largest economies in Africa, with an increasing role and influence in the region and the world.”
President Tran Dai Quang said he will discuss with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Egyptian government officials measures to promote friendly cooperation between the two countries in the fields of politics, defense, security, trade, investment, agriculture, education, training, culture, and tourism.
President Tran Dai Quang said that during discussions with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and senior Egyptian officials, he will discuss measures for the two sides to continue cooperation, exploit great potential, and support each other for mutual development.
President Tran Dai Quang said that the prospects and potential for cooperation in various fields between Vietnam and Egypt are enormous. With the determination of senior leaders, the participation and active response of ministries, sectors, localities, businesses and people of the two countries, the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt will continue to develop strongly in both breadth and depth.
The Egyptian Gazette also recalled that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi paid an official visit to Vietnam in September 2017./.
