Assessment of press activities in the province in September 2018 shows that the prominent topics that press agencies focused on were: The State Funeral of President Tran Dai Quang and his contributions to the development of the country. Press agencies also strongly promoted the events commemorating the 73rd anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; the 87th anniversary of Nghe Tinh Soviet Day September 12; Vietnam - Japan Week in Nghe An; the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 9 months of the year. The press also focused on reflecting on the results of the implementation of the new rural program and agricultural production activities of the province.

In the field of education, many press agencies spent a lot of time to inform and propagate about the opening ceremony and the difficulties of students and teachers in mountainous areas when entering the new school year in the rainy and flooded conditions. In addition, responding to public interest, the press also focused on the topic of education reform and educational technology for primary schools.

In September, prominent issues such as illegal mining, environmental pollution... were also given much time by press agencies.

Through its activities, many publications have published quality articles, contributing to good public opinion orientation and at the same time being an important information channel to help Party committees and authorities at all levels grasp the practical situation, promptly propose solutions to effectively carry out political and professional tasks. In addition, in September, there were also a number of articles that reflected inaccurately, lacking objectivity and comprehensiveness.

Speaking at the conference, representatives of some press agencies responded and requested further clarification of some contents such as: The construction of the hospital affecting Ho Tong Thoc Street (Vinh City); the situation of oversized and overloaded vehicles violating the Road Traffic Law; the situation of illegal vehicles picking up passengers in urban areas; the phenomenon of black credit default in Yen Thanh; the situation of labor export fraud in the form of studying abroad...

Representatives of press agencies also reflected on difficulties in the process of working, especially some departments, branches and localities have not cooperated and created conditions for reporters and journalists to provide information and propaganda according to the Press Law...

Concluding the conference, comrade Kha Van Tam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department acknowledged and highly appreciated the activities of the press agencies in September 2018. Accordingly, the press agencies have accompanied, contributed ideas and suggestions to help local Party committees and authorities effectively carry out socio-economic development tasks. In particular, the press has closely followed reality, vividly and promptly reflected on weather developments, floods and serious consequences for people in mountainous districts. Regarding the October propaganda orientation, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Kha Van Tam requested press agencies to continue to promote the implementation of Central resolutions such as Resolution VI of the Central Committee, Resolution VII of the Central Committee, term XII. Especially the contents of the Conference of the Central Executive Committee VIII, term XII.

Comrade Kha Van Tam also requested press agencies to focus on reporting the results of the implementation of the half-term of Party congresses at all levels; holidays in the month such as: 50th anniversary of Truong Bon, Founding Day of Vietnam Youth Union October 15, Vietnam Women's Union October 20...

Regarding the issues raised by the press at the conference, comrade Kha Van Tam affirmed that he would accept them and report the correct contents reflected by the press to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, thereby directing departments and branches to seriously implement them.
