The press is stepping up its efforts to promote the marine tourism economy.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 23rd, in Cua Lo town, the Nghe An Journalists Association hosted the seminar "Journalism in promoting the development of coastal tourism in the North Central provinces".
Attending the workshop were leaders of the Journalists' Associations of 6 provinces in the North Central region from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue, leaders of press agencies in 6 provinces in the North Central region, representatives of the Propaganda Department of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, leaders of Cua Lo town, and reporters from various press agencies.

Given the importance of islands and the marine tourism economy in the new context, the seminar "Journalism and Propaganda on the Development of the Marine Tourism Economy" is a new topic, directed by the Vietnam Journalists Association to be organized by local Journalists Associations to widely disseminate information to member journalists nationwide about enhancing the value of the marine economy.

At the workshop, delegates from provincial Journalists' Associations, media agencies, and local governments in the North Central region presented papers affirming the potential, strengths, existing shortcomings, and limitations of coastal tourism in the North Central provinces; the role of media agencies and member journalists in promoting the development of coastal tourism; and the participation and role of local governments in promoting the development of the coastal tourism economy.
These are lessons learned for local Journalists' Associations and media agencies in the North Central region to continue collaborating to further improve the "promotion of marine tourism economic development" within the "Vietnam Marine Strategy to 2020".
The workshop took place over three days, from July 23rd to 25th. On the afternoon of July 23rd, delegates visited the historical site of Truông Bồn in Nghệ An province, offering incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th.
