The press contributes to maintaining the achievements in fighting the epidemic

The conference took time to evaluate the press work in Nghe An province in September. Accordingly, in the context of the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, press agencies have actively informed, reflected comprehensively, fully and promptly on outstanding events and issues in the province, well meeting the information needs of the people.

In particular, press agencies have seriously implemented the direction and propaganda orientation related to the efforts to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic of Party committees, authorities and people at all levels to control "red zones" and expand "green zones".

Press information is promoted according to the trend of "press - solution" in epidemic prevention and control through proposing and analyzing solutions and effective epidemic prevention models, including spreading good models of other provinces.

The press has also clearly reflected the implementation of food supply for people; efforts to deploy Covid-19 vaccination; and at the same time condemned violations of epidemic prevention and control activities.

At the conference, some journalists discussed and informed about some emerging issues due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic such as: Difficulties in selling agricultural products of farmers; need to have appropriate tuition policies for students when people's lives are affected by the epidemic;...

Some opinions of journalists, leaders of Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association also discussed the current situation, as well as solutions in the coming time related to the implementation, as well as rectification and handling of violations by members of the Provincial Journalists Association if they violate the Rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists.

Entering October 2021, press management agencies, press agency representatives, and journalists have reached a high level of consensus on the directions that need to be focused on propaganda.

Concluding the Conference, Head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huong expressed her recognition and appreciation for the work of journalists in recent times to provide quick, sensitive and timely information, contributing to the province's control and containment of the Covid-19 epidemic. In the coming time, along with the agreed task groups, the Head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requested the press to continue to propagate the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic to contribute to the province maintaining the achievements in fighting the epidemic, associated with propagating solutions to ensure social security and overcome difficulties to develop the economy in the new normal state.

The head of the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also asked the press to pay more attention and contribute their voices in support of the urgent project of the Eternal Ecological Park being implemented in Hung Tay Commune, Hung Nguyen District to be completed soon.

In addition, he also requested the Journalists Association to disseminate to its branches and members to continue to properly implement the regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists; Rules for using social networks of Vietnamese journalists; and closely coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications to handle violations.
