Comrade Le Ba Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Comrade Ho Quang Thanh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications chaired the conference. In April 2014, press agencies focused on promoting current events, politics, and socio-economic activities in Nghe An province, including events such as: provincial leaders working with domestic and foreign investors; conferences to promote Nghe An tourism in Laos, Thailand, Lam Dong, Da Nang; implementing the Constitution; congresses of the Fatherland Front at all levels; commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory... In particular, during the month, press agencies spent a lot of time reporting and promoting the work of clearing the National Highway 1A, creating consensus among the people, providing solutions for units and localities to overcome shortcomings, ensuring the work of clearing the National Highway 1A on schedule. Nghe An Newspaper and the provincial Radio and Television Station received letters of commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their work in promoting the work of clearing the National Highway 1A.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Ba Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department acknowledged the positive and proactive development of effective propaganda programs and columns by Nghe An Newspaper, the provincial Radio and Television Station and a number of other press agencies, which have made many contributions, discovered and warned about issues arising in the socio-economic life taking place in the province, helping the authorities to effectively resolve existing issues. In the coming time, press agencies need to focus on promoting the implementation of Directive 03 on "promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example", the implementation of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; investment promotion activities, administrative reform; promoting Nghe An's scenic spots; cultural activities in the province such as the Vi Dam folk song festival, Sen village festival...
