On the occasion of the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week taking place in Vietnam from November 6 to 11, the international press continued to report on the important economic event in this region, while emphasizing the wishes of the host country Vietnam in its efforts to promote sustainable growth.

On November 8, Japan's Japan Times solemnly published an article by President Tran Dai Quang titled "APEC Vietnam 2017, promoting a shared future in a turbulent world".

According to the article, in a volatile globalized world and a dynamically developing Asia-Pacific region, APEC is facing intertwined opportunities and challenges.

As the host of APEC 2017, Vietnam is working with member economies to turn the commitments of APEC leaders into reality, while bringing APEC closer to the people and business community; realizing the strategic vision for comprehensive and sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region in the 21st century...

The Economic Times, India, on November 7, commented that host country Vietnam tried to harmonize interests, seek common ground to narrow differences and promote cooperation among APEC member economies.

Meanwhile, New Zealand press quoted Prime Minister Jacinda Arden as saying that the APEC region is very important to New Zealand's future economic development and the 2017 APEC Summit is an opportunity to further strengthen New Zealand's commitment to the region; contributing to creating the foundation for New Zealand's regional Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
