Vietnam Social Security speaks out about the arrest and detention of the former General Director of Vietnam Social Security.
On the morning of November 10, Vietnam Social Security sent an official notice about the arrest of former General Director of Vietnam Social Security Le Bach Hong by the investigation agency on November 9. Vietnam Social Security's stance is that it will strictly comply with the conclusions of the competent investigation agencies.

In the above Official Dispatch, Mr. Dao Viet Anh also said that the incident happened 10 years ago and there was a conclusion from the Central Inspection Committee; the groups and individuals were handled according to regulations. The authorities are currently focusing on resolving the incident and recovering assets for the State.
In this spirit, Vietnam Social Security will fully inform the press when there are results of the case settlement from the competent authorities.
Mr. Dao Viet Anh affirmed that, throughout the past time, the Social Insurance Fund has always been well managed under the supervision of the National Assembly and the Government; and has been periodically inspected and audited according to the provisions of law.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 9, the Ministry of Public Security's Information Portal posted information about the prosecution and temporary detention of Mr. Le Bach Hong, former Deputy Minister, former General Director of Vietnam Social Security, and four officials who used to work at Vietnam Social Security.
This is the prosecution decision of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C03) related to the case of Intentionally violating State regulations on economic management causing serious consequences occurring at ALCII Company and related units according to Decision to prosecute the case No. 72/C46-P13 dated December 26, 2017.
