(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of October 3, a bus departed from Nghe An Newspaper, carrying necessities and supplies sent by readers to people in the Ky Son flash flood area.

At dawn on October 4, the bus arrived at Muong Xen town. The supplies included 150 barrels of clean water, 58 bags of rice, fish sauce, MSG, instant noodles, books... sent by Nghe An Newspaper readers in Daf. Vinh German Class, Long Son readers, Ngan Khanh... via Nghe An Newspaper to deliver to the people in the Ky Son flash flood area.

These necessities were sent by Nghe An Newspaper reporters and functional agencies of Ky Son district to people who are isolated in Son Ha, Hoa Son villages and some isolated villages in Ta Ca commune (Ky Son).

According to a survey by Nghe An Newspaper, because the flood has swept away most of the rice, household items and houses of the households, people in the villages affected by the flash flood are now in need of food such as rice, sticky rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, salt, blankets, especially drinking water. Then there are household items such as tables, chairs, cabinets, beds and repairing or building new houses...

Because the floodwaters were flowing rapidly, authorities were forced to build temporary bridges and divide relief bags into smaller ones to reach people in Hoa Son and Son Ha villages.

The transportation of goods from Nghe An Newspaper to Ky Son is carried out free of charge by Huy Hoang distributor. Son Ha and Hoa Son were two villages directly affected by the terrible flood on the night of October 1 and the morning of October 2. According to statistics, in Ky Son district, flash floods swept away 56 houses, flooded and damaged 186 houses, isolated 236 households and 966 people in Ta Ca commune and Muong Xen town. 2 cars were swept away, 10 cars were buried. The road from Muong Xen to Tay Son commune, National Highway 7 connecting Dien Chau district to Nam Can border gate, Ky Son, was eroded, causing traffic jams.
