Phuc and Loc were born with skin rashes and blisters. Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi) concluded that Phuc suffers from congenital burns and dermal necrosis, for which there is no specific cure. To provide timely financial support for the children's medical treatment, on the morning of June 6th, representatives from Nghe An Newspaper personally handed over the aforementioned sum of money to the families of the two children in the presence of representatives from the District Fatherland Front and the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thach Son commune.

The children's grandfather, Vo Kim Hieu, was deeply moved and expressed his gratitude for the kindness of readers near and far. He also stated that the Fatherland Front Committee, the People's Committee, and the Women's Union of Anh Son district have provided nearly 20,000,000 VND to support the two children's medical treatment.
