Nghe An Newspaper wins 2 Dien Hong Awards at the third Dien Hong Awards - 2025.
On the evening of January 5th, the third National Journalism Award Ceremony on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) - 2025 was held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace in Hanoi.
Attending the award ceremony were: Comrade Nong Duc Manh - former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Tran Thanh Man - Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Sinh Hung - former Member of the Politburo, former Chairman of the National Assembly; Tong Thi Phong - former Member of the Politburo, former Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice President; Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Head of the Dien Hong Award Steering Committee; Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Tran Quang Phuong - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Uong Chu Luu - former Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
Also attending were members of the Central Committee of the Party, members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Ethnic Council, the Committees of the National Assembly, representatives of the National Assembly delegations, leaders of ministries, departments, localities, and the authors who won the Dien Hong Prize.

The National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) is an annual award given to outstanding journalistic works about the National Assembly and People's Councils, organized by the National Assembly Office in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, Vietnam Television, and the Hanoi People's Council.
This year's Dien Hong Award received 4,079 entries from 163 media outlets after more than 11 months of launching the competition. Based on proposals from the subcommittees, the Preliminary Judging Panel held a meeting to review, agree upon, and select outstanding works for the final round.


Following the preliminary round, 105 works were selected for the final judging round, including the following categories: 22 print articles; 25 online articles; 15 magazines; 13 radio programs; 22 television programs; and 8 photographs.
The works ensure a balance across regions, diversity of topics (legislation, supreme oversight, real-life practices, institutional reform, etc.), and high quality in terms of content, message, and form of expression.

The judging panel selected 83 outstanding works to recommend to the Organizing Committee for awarding prizes, including 8 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes, and 40 consolation prizes.

At the Third Dien Hong Award, Nghe An Newspaper had a four-part special feature: “Special Resolution: Overcoming the Narrow ‘Mechanism’ Cloak’” by the group of authors: Ngo Duc Chuyen, Nguyen Thanh Duy, Nguyen Mai Hoa, in the print newspaper category, winning the C prize, and a five-part special feature: “For elected representatives to truly represent the will and aspirations of the people.The paper "" by the team of authors: Ngo Duc Chuyen, Nguyen Thanh Duy, Nguyen Mai Hoa, Nguyen Huu Quan, Phan Trung Tu, in the online journalism category, won the Encouragement Award.


Previously, at the second Dien Hong Tournament - 2024,Nghe An Newspaper is honored to have 2 works published.Awards were presented: The four-part series "Innovating the Activities of Elected Bodies for the Goal of Development" by authors Ngo Duc Chuyen, Nguyen Thanh Duy, and Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa was awarded the B prize in the print media category; the five-part reportage "A Decade of Abolishing Boarding Schools in Highland High Schools: It's Time for Change!" by authors Ngo Nhat Lan and Dao Tuan was awarded the Encouragement prize in the online media category.

At the first Dien Hong Award Ceremony - 2023,Nghe An Newspaper won the B prize in the print newspaper category.with a five-part series titled "Worthy of being an elected representative" by the group of authors: Ngo Duc Chuyen, Nguyen Thanh Duy, Nguyen Mai Hoa, and Hoang Thi Hoa.
