The National Press Award is a prestigious annual award approved by the Government and organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association. It is a well-deserved reward to honor outstanding journalists and journalistic works that have made significant contributions to building a modern, humane, and combative Vietnamese press. Especially in 2025 – the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day – the award takes on even greater significance and meaning.

This year, amidst the restructuring and streamlining of many media organizations in line with general policies, the National Journalism Award maintained its prestige and widespread influence. 1,970 entries were submitted from 59 out of 63 provincial and city Journalists' Associations, 17 out of 21 branch associations, and 29 branches directly under the Central Association. After the preliminary round, 183 outstanding works advanced to the final round, and 128 works were honored, including: 13 A Prizes, 27 B Prizes, 49 C Prizes, and 39 Encouragement Prizes.
