Nghe An Newspaper won the C prize of the National Press Award on Youth Union work and Youth Movement in 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 17, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the National Press Awards Ceremony for Youth Union work and youth movements in 2023.
Attending the program were comrades: Bui Quang Huy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union; Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Central Secretariat of the Youth Union; leaders of the Central Committee of the Youth Union; representatives of the leaders of central and local press agencies, journalists, editors, and reporters who won the National Press Award on Youth Union work and Youth and Children's Movement in 2023.
Attending the ceremony were journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association.

The National Press Award on Youth Union work and Youth Movement was launched by the Central Youth Union Secretariat in 2017 to commend and honor outstanding press works on Youth Union work and Youth Movement, models, activities, youth projects, exemplary youth, youth life, creating attention from all levels, sectors and society for the work of educating, nurturing and promoting the young generation. After 7 years of organization, the award has received more than 3,000 press works submitted for the contest.
In 2023, since its launch, the Award has received attention and entries from many central and local press, radio and television agencies.

After 3 months of launching, the Award received 428 entries (2.1 times higher than in 2022). Of which, there are 281 print and electronic newspaper works, 147 radio and television works. The works are invested and expressed in many modern forms.

The works participating in this year's competition were carefully invested, rich in topics, sharp in content, diverse in style and modern in expression methods, reflecting comprehensively, diversely and deeply, with many new features of the Youth Union's work and the Youth and Children's movement in all regions and fields. Among them, many journalistic works with exploration, breakthrough, novelty, creativity and appeal have been of interest and welcomed by readers, especially young people.

From those results, the Jury and Organizing Committee decided to award 2 collective prizes, 4 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, and 20 Encouragement prizes to press agencies and groups of authors with excellent works submitted to the contest.
Nghe An Newspaper is honored to have the series of articles "Arranging jobs for grassroots Youth Union officials - Building a reasonable roadmap and sustainable strategy" by the group of authors Thanh Quynh - Thanh Le won the C prize.

Nghe An currently has 948 Youth Union bases with more than 1,890 grassroots Youth Union cadres. In recent times, this force has been the backbone of the province's youth in implementing revolutionary action programs, making an important contribution to the process of building and developing Nghe An in a comprehensive and strong manner.
Concerned about this issue, a group of reporters from Nghe An Newspaper investigated the reality at a number of establishments, met and discussed with local Party leaders and mature Youth Union officials and over-age Youth Union officials who had not yet been assigned new jobs to grasp each thought and aspiration to understand the reality at the grassroots level.

Through that, we have discovered creative and effective ways of doing things in localities when the Party Committees at all levels pay attention to the work of arranging jobs for over-age Youth Union cadres as well as the difficulties and problems in arranging over-age Youth Union cadres at the grassroots level today; the exchanges and sharing, thoughts of "insiders". Through models and good practices, we can draw lessons from practical difficulties at the grassroots level to propose some solutions to find suitable directions in arranging jobs for over-age Youth Union cadres.
