Nghe An Newspaper ranks first in terms of digital transformation maturity of national newspapers
(Baonghean.vn) - The Center for Supporting Digital Transformation of the Press, the Press Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications has just announced the results of the assessment of the maturity level of digital transformation of the press in 2023. Accordingly, Nghe An Newspaper is in the top 2 leading press agencies in the local press sector.

Specifically, according to the latest announcement, the top 5 press agencies leading the local press sector in terms of maturity in digital transformation in 2023 include: Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper (managing agency: Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee); Nghe An Newspaper (managing agency: Nghe An Provincial Party Committee); Khanh Hoa Newspaper (managing agency: Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee); Hanoi Moi Newspaper (managing agency: Hanoi Party Committee); Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper (managing agency: Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee).

The Local Press Block includes Newspapers and Magazines of provinces and cities, Magazines of local Literature and Arts Associations, with a total of 143 units.

The set of indicators to assess and measure the level of digital transformation maturity includes 5 pillars and 42 criteria. The total maximum score is 100 points, in which the maximum scores for the pillars are: (1) Strategy: 18 points; (2) Digital infrastructure, digital platform and information security: 24 points; (3) Organizational and professional uniformity: 20 points; (4) Readers, audiences, listeners: 23 points; and (5) Level of digital technology application: 15 points.
The level of maturity of digital transformation of press agencies is determined based on the total score achieved for the 5 pillars and is ranked into 5 levels: Excellent, Good, Fair, Average and Weak.
The evaluation and ranking results are the basis for press agencies to monitor the annual digital transformation roadmap of the unit, reflecting a clearer picture of the application and development of IT and digital transformation, from which press agencies can develop appropriate plans and strategies to promote IT activities in general and digital transformation in particular in accordance with the characteristics and goals of the unit.
