Nghe An Newspaper: Spreading the spirit of 'practice and words go hand in hand'

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of April 25, the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee held a conference to summarize 5 years of implementing Directive 03/CT-TW on continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. Comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan – Party Committee Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper chaired the conference.

Attending the Conference were comrade Hoang Van Nhien - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies; Le Thi Kim Oanh - Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Provincial Agencies; party members and staff of the agency.

After 5 years of implementing Directive 03/CT-TW, cadres, employees and reporters of Nghe An newspaper have focused on following Uncle Ho. In particular, key cadres have set an example in performing their tasks, especially in leadership and management. There have been many innovations that have achieved high efficiency such as: Project to complete the Project to innovate and improve the quality of Nghe An newspaper in the period 2011 - 2015; implementing partial financial autonomy to reduce difficulties for the budget. Promoting administrative reform, decentralization and delegation to create initiative for departments and divisions.

In particular, the editorial office has successfully put into operation the converged editorial office model, contributing to making the agency's activities increasingly professional. Since then, the quality of the printed newspaper's content has become increasingly closer to readers, and it is considered one of the top 4 newspapers in the local Party newspaper system. The printed newspaper has increased from 5 issues per week, each issue has 4 pages, to 7 issues per week, each issue has 8 pages. The circulation has increased from nearly 10,000 copies/issue in 2011 to nearly 17,000 copies/issue.

Comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee - Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper hopes that in the coming time, all cadres, employees and reporters of Nghe An Newspaper must be role models in work and life.

The online newspaper is constantly innovating in quality and utility, meeting the needs of readers; the average daily access reaches 200,000. The readership has expanded to many countries and has become a prestigious foreign information channel of Nghe An as well as the country.

Over the past 5 years, Nghe An Newspaper has won hundreds of press awards at all levels. In particular, it has won 6 national press awards, including 1 A prize. Nghe An Newspaper became a cultural unit in 2012; in 2015, it achieved the title of exemplary clean and strong; the agency achieved the title of collective that excellently completed its tasks. In particular, in September 2015, Nghe An Newspaper was honored to be awarded the title of Labor Hero in the Renewal Period by the State.
