Nghe An Newspaper presents gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

(Baonghean.vn) - To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 25th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22nd, on December 19th, the leaders of Nghe An Newspaper visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

A delegation from the newspaper, led by Deputy Editor-in-Chief Lam Van Doan and representatives from various departments within the editorial office, visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Tong. Mother Nguyen Thi Tong, originally from Thanh Linh commune, Thanh Chuong district, had her only son, Nguyen Van Hoe, who died in 1973.

My mother has been under the care and support of the Nghe An Newspaper since 1996, and is currently being cared for at the Provincial Martyrs' Family Retirement Home in Dien Chau District. She is now mentally alert and in good health. The Nghe An Newspaper visits and encourages her on holidays, festivals, and anniversaries.

The delegation from Nghe An Newspaper offered incense to commemorate the two martyrs Tran Huu Duong and Tran Huu Thanh.

On the same day, Nghe An Newspaper also visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Pham Thi Thanh in Vinh Thanh Hamlet, Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City. Mother Thanh was born in 1931 and her husband, Tran Huu Duong, was a martyr who died in 1968. Her eldest son, Tran Huu Thanh, was also a martyr who died in 1972. Recently, Mother Thanh was awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother. Nghe An Newspaper is the organization responsible for supporting Mother Nguyen Thi Thanh.
