Vietnam Museum of Ethnology received the First Class Labor Medal

On November 28, in Thai Nguyen province, the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups celebrated its 55th anniversary and received the First Class Labor Medal.

Established in 1960, the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures is located in the center of the Northern midland and mountainous region - the land of "the first famous tea", the former resistance capital. The museum converges the cultural values ​​of 54 ethnic groups. After more than half a century of construction and development, it has well performed its assigned political role of preserving and promoting revolutionary traditions and cultural values ​​of ethnic groups, meeting the people's need to learn and enjoy culture.

Not only is it highly appreciated for its research, collection, and preservation of documents and artifacts on the cultural heritage of ethnic groups and its methods of operation, the museum is also recognized for its foreign affairs, strengthening cooperation and professional exchange with museums and international organizations in preserving and promoting ethnic cultures. Special exhibitions such as traditional crafts, tea culture, ASEAN corner, or cultural and artistic performances, traditional crafts, etc. always receive the attention of the public at home and abroad. Regional cultural highlights such as high mountains, valleys, midlands, coastal areas, and the Northern Delta have opened up vibrant cultural experience spaces, expressing the regional cultural nuances of Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai highly appreciated the achievements that the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups has achieved: "The Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups needs to continue to strengthen research, collection, and further diversify propaganda and education work, focus on investing in research to further improve the quality of professional activities, meet the increasing demand for cultural enjoyment of the people, expand coordination and exchange with central and local agencies, domestic and international organizations in promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups, and enhance the value of Vietnamese cultural products in the international arena".

On this occasion, the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal for the second time from the President./.
