Thanh Hoa Newspaper visits and learns from the Convergence Editorial Office model at Nghe An Newspaper

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 4, a delegation from Thanh Hoa Newspaper visited and learned about the Convergence editorial office model at Nghe An Newspaper's editorial office.

With the purpose of visiting and learning about the Convergence Newsroom model of Nghe An Newspaper, colleagues from Thanh Hoa Newspaper attended an initial meeting of the day at the publishing department of Nghe An Newspaper, exchanging relevant information on modern journalism practices in both print and electronic publications.

Introducing the structure, organization and operation of Nghe An Newspaper to the delegation, comrade Tran Van Hung said that Nghe An Newspaper currently has 9 specialized departments under its management, with 85 cadres, reporters and employees, of which 50 are on the payroll and 35 are on contracts (indefinite and short-term). The Party Committee has 55 members, operating in 5 branches; the Youth Union has over 30 members; the Trade Union has 85 members.

Implementing the Convergence Editorial Office model, Nghe An Newspaper has invested synchronously from facilities to staff, reporters, employees and collaborators to the grassroots level. Accordingly, the Newspaper has invested in technical rooms, studios, recording studios... with many advanced, modern equipment of high value and applicability, utilities contributing to effectively supporting the professional work of staff and reporters.

Every morning at the beginning of the day, at the Hoi Thuong editorial office of Nghe An Newspaper, there are meetings, comments and evaluations of news articles published in printed and electronic newspapers; reports, comments on news sources and quality of news and articles during the day and plans, orientations for the next day's issues as well as in-depth topics and events that need to be implemented...

Currently, Nghe An Newspaper has 2 types: printed newspaper and electronic newspaper. Electronic newspaper is increasingly diverse and rich with fast and accurate information, with about 150,000 visits/day. Printed newspaper has 8 pages including 2 publications: daily newspaper and mountainous - weekend special page, with a circulation of over 16,000 copies/issue.

In addition to the staff and reporters, Nghe An Newspaper has a team of more than 500 collaborators at home and abroad, in all fields and regions. From there, practical information is reflected promptly and accurately to meet the needs of readers, contributing to orienting information for people. In addition, Nghe An Newspaper is also the venue for many cultural, social and press activities in the province.
