Karaoke security guard kills customer, pushes body into lake

Defending the female flight attendant, two male security guards chased and beat a male guest to death with a stick, then disposed of the body.

Dong Hung District Police (Thai Binh) are temporarily detaining Nguyen Thanh Long (30 years old) to assist in the investigation of a murder case that occurred at a karaoke bar in Dong La commune.

According to the investigation agency, on the night of December 3, Mai Van Tien and a group of friends went to an entertainment bar and had a collision with a female attendant.

Defending his girlfriend, two security guards of the restaurant, Long and Nguyen Huu Huong, grabbed wooden sticks and concrete blocks and attacked Tien's group. The five customers panicked and ran away but were chased.

Tien died instantly after being hit in the head with a stick by Huong. Without stopping, the two guards pushed the victim's body into the nearby lake and left.

At 1:20 the next morning, when Tien did not return home, his family reported the incident to the police. In the early morning of that day, the young man's body was found.

Long turned himself in, but Huong is on the run.
