Barca drew with Celta Vigo in the first match of the year
Celta Vigo held Barca to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Copa del Rey round of 16.
Two goals also came early in the first half. Barca opened the scoring in the 15th minute thanks to Jose Arnaiz's precise finish from Andre Gomes' cross, while Celta Vigo equalized with Pione Sisto's tight-angle shot past goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.

Barca pressed harder after the break. The La Liga leaders also created more chances, but they all missed. Arnaiz's header went just wide, Denis Suarez headed wide with a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and Sergio Busquets' long-range shot hit the crossbar.
Returning after more than three months of injury, Ousmane Dembele entered the field for the last 20 minutes. The young French striker did not leave much of an impression except for a shot from a tight angle that went into the hands of the home team's goalkeeper.
After a 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo, Barca will have to wait until the second leg next week to decide the winner. In La Liga, Celta Vigo held Barca to a 2-2 draw at the start of the season.
