Barca launches home kit for 2016/17 season

Barcelona have just unveiled the home kit they will be wearing next season. The kit is being supplied by Nike, who have signed a deal that will see Barca earn €100 million a year for the next 10 years.

At the new kit launch ceremony, superstar Lionel Messi, along with Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez, Andres Iniesta, Neymar and Gerard Pique were the faces chosen to take pictures. Overall, Barca's new kit still has two main colors: traditional blue and red.

Compared to last season, this time the stripes on Barca's shirt are distributed vertically instead of horizontally. Thus, it can be seen that Barca's board of directors listens to feedback very well. After the horizontal stripes of last season were complained too much, the Catalan giant has made adjustments to please the public.

One very notable detail is that on Barca's new jersey, the sponsor Qatar Airways brand is not seen. At this time, Barca is still negotiating a new contract with the Qatari airline, while the current agreement between the parties will expire within the next month.
