Barca confirms purchase of Dembele
The Catalan club paid an initial transfer fee of $125 million to Dortmund.
In addition to the initial fee, Barca will have to pay up to 50 million more depending on Dembele's future performance. The total cost of 175 million makes the 20-year-old French striker the second most expensive player in the world after Neymar.
Dembele will travel to Spain this weekend for a medical. Once completed, the fourth signing will sign a five-year contract with Barca and be presented to fans on August 28. The contract has a release clause of 477 million dollars.

Dembele joined Dortmund in the summer of 2016, from Rennes (France) for a fee of only 17 million. Just one year later, the price of the 20-year-old star increased 10 times.
Dembele is a winger similar to Neymar, who recently left Barca for PSG. The French striker scored 10 goals in 50 games for Dortmund last season.
Dembele is Barca's fourth new signing of the summer of 2017 after Gerard Deulofeu, Nelson Semedo and Paulinho. The Catalan team is trying to buy Coutinho from Liverpool to complete the transfer plan.
