Arrested 02 subjects transporting 1.4 tons of explosive fireworks
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of being long-distance drivers, Nguyen Quoc Toan and Huynh Thanh Son transported 1.4 tons of firecrackers for sale.
On April 3, 2024, Hoang Mai Town Police announced that they had successfully broken up a case, arresting two subjects Nguyen Quoc Toan (born in 1990), residing in Bien Ho commune, Pleiku city, and Huynh Thanh Son (born in 1994), residing in Kbang town, Kbang district, both in Gia Lai province, for illegally transporting firecrackers.
Accordingly, recently, through the work of fighting, arresting and handling violations of fireworks, Hoang Mai Town Policedetect the line of buying and selling and transporting prohibited goods(fireworks) from Gia Lai province to Nghe An and then to Hoang Mai town and the northern provinces for consumption. With the determination to eradicate this line, on March 11, 2024, the town police reported to the provincial police leadership to establish a special project to focus on fighting, arresting the subjects, and resolutely and strongly fighting against violations related to firecrackers.
After a period of synchronous implementation of professional measures, on March 29, 2024, on National Highway 1A in Block 12, Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town, the Town Police presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Police's professional department, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station under the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department to successfully crack the case. Thereby, Nguyen Quoc Toan and Huynh Thanh Son were arrested when the subjects were using a truck with license plate 51D-637.84 to transport 1.4 tons of various types of fireworks for sale.
At the headquarters of the Investigation Police Department of Hoang Mai Town Police, Nguyen Quoc Toan and Huynh Thanh Son confessed to all their crimes. Currently, Hoang Mai Town Police are continuing to expand the investigation to handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
