Two individuals were arrested for transporting over 170kg of firecrackers.
(Baonghean.vn) -The Criminal Investigation Department for Economic and Official Crimes of the Nghe An Provincial Police has just arrested two individuals for illegally transporting over 170kg of various types of fireworks.
At approximately 4:00 AM on February 6th, in Dien Thinh commune, Dien Chau district, the Economic and Functional Crime Investigation Police force of Nghe An province inspected a vehicle with license plate 37S-0490 and discovered 6 cardboard boxes containing various types of foreign-made fireworks, including 36-shot firecrackers, round fireworks, and string fireworks, with a total weight of 171 kg. The driver, Chu Van Vinh (born 1969, residing in Hamlet 12, Bao Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district), and the owner of the goods, Le Van Thanh (born 1984, residing in Long Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district), were taken to the police station for further investigation.

During questioning at the investigative agency, Le Van Thanh confessed that he had purchased the fireworks in the Dien Thinh area and hired Chu Van Vinh to transport them to Vinh for sale.
