Authorities seized 12 vessels using electric shock devices for illegal fishing.

(Baonghean)Between October 22nd and 28th, the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard Command) conducted patrols and inspections at sea, detecting and apprehending 12 vessels violating regulations in the field of fisheries exploitation.

These vessels were operating without the required licenses, using electric shock devices for illegal fishing... Of these, 4 vessels were owned by people residing in Hai Ninh commune (Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province) and 8 vessels were owned by people residing in Hai Ha commune (Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province).

The station confiscated all the infringing items; and simultaneously issued fines totaling 51,800,000 VND to 12 vehicle owners, which were remitted to the state budget.
