Arrested 2 addicts while 'holding' drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - Within a few hours, a police task force in a ward in Vinh city consecutively arrested two people who were illegally buying and selling drugs.
On the afternoon of January 9, Major Vo Minh Duc, Deputy Chief of Police of Le Loi Ward, Vinh City, said that he had just broken up two cases of illegal drug trafficking, arresting two subjects and seized the evidence.
Accordingly, at around 1:30 p.m. on January 8, at a car wash on Nguyen Khanh Toan Street, Hung Phuc Ward (Vinh City), Le Loi Ward Police caught Nguyen Duc Dung (born in 1982, residing in Hung Phuc Ward) in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs. Evidence seized from Dung was 0.025 grams of heroin and 300,000 VND.

According to Dung's statement, he had previously bought some heroin for his own use, and sold half to a partner. However, he was arrested before he could complete the transaction.
Dung had a previous conviction for illegal drug trafficking and was released from prison in April 2016.
3 hours later, in the area of Nguyen Van Cu Street (Vinh City), Le Loi Ward Police continued to catch Ngo Tien Dung (born in 1978, residing in Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City) in the act of illegally buying and selling drugs. The evidence seized from Dung was 3.745 grams of heroin.
According to the investigation agency, the suspect Dung admitted that he was waiting for his partner to come buy goods when he was discovered. The suspect had a previous conviction for illegal possession of drugs and was addicted.
Police are detaining both suspects in two cases to investigate the illegal drug trafficking.
