Two suspects arrested for buying, selling, and transporting 1kg of drugs.
(Baonghean.vn) -The Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with the Cau Treo Border Guard Station, the Cau Treo Customs Branch of Ha Tinh Province, and Department A71 of the Ministry of Public Security, has just cracked a case and arrested two individuals for illegally transporting and trading a large quantity of narcotics.
At 11:45 PM on April 23, 2013, on Tran Phu Street, Le Mao Ward (Vinh City), the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with the Cau Treo Border Guard Post, the Cau Treo Customs Branch of Ha Tinh Province, and Department A71 of the Ministry of Public Security, cracked down on Special Case 313V, apprehending two suspects: Ho Quoc Nam, born in 1985, residing in Hamlet 14, Nghi Kim, Vinh City, Nghe An Province, and Doan Thi Bich Kieu, residing in Vinh Tuong Commune, Vi Thuy District, Hau Giang Province, while they were illegally transporting one package of methamphetamine. During an urgent search of Nam's residence, investigators seized 30 packages of shisha-type drugs, a drug paraphernalia set, and 100 million VND related to the suspect's criminal activity. The suspects and seized items were brought to the investigation headquarters. After unsealing and taking samples for testing, authorities determined the seized drugs weighed 1 kg.
The suspects are Doan Thi Bich Kieu and Ho Quoc Nam.
The police force drew up a report documenting the seized items.
This is a large-scale illegal drug trafficking ring that transported synthetic drugs from Laos into Nghe An province and then distributed them to southern provinces. The suspects' modus operandi involved using massage girls to transport drugs via railway to avoid detection by law enforcement. At the police station, the suspects confessed to their crimes. The case is currently being urgently investigated and expanded by the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police.
