Two suspects arrested for committing seven thefts in two days.
Immediately after being released from prison, Nguyen Huu Long and Nguyen Nhu Vuong conspired to commit seven thefts in various locations within just two days, causing hundreds of millions of dong in losses. While preparing to commit other thefts, the two suspects were apprehended by law enforcement.
On October 6, 2025, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police announced that it had initiated a criminal case and prosecuted two individuals, Nguyen Huu Long (born in 1995), residing in Tay Hieu Ward, Nghe An Province, and Nguyen Nhu Vuong (born in 1998), residing in Nghia Hung Commune, Nghe An Province, for the crime of...theft of property.

Nguyen Huu Long is a repeat offender with three prior convictions for theft and intentional infliction of injury. To obtain money for personal expenses and to buy drugs, after his release from prison, Long conspired with Nguyen Nhu Vuong (an acquaintance) to plan thefts. Like Long, Vuong also has one prior conviction related to drugs.
Targeting affluent households or those with valuables located in secluded areas with little traffic, Nguyen Huu Long and Nguyen Nhu Vuong committed seven thefts in various locations across Nghe An province within just two days. After committing the crimes, the suspects sold the stolen goods in different provinces and cities before fleeing to Ninh Binh province.

After a period of surveillance, on September 28, 2025, the Criminal Police Department and the Nghia Dan Commune Police, in coordination with relevant units, arrested two suspects, Nguyen Huu Long and Nguyen Nhu Vuong, for the crime of theft.
The seized items included: 3 motorcycles, 2 laptops, 2 mobile phones, and many other items, with a total value of nearly 150 million VND. At the investigative agency, the suspects admitted to their crimes and stated that they were preparing to commit other thefts.
