Two suspects were arrested for transporting 31 kg of firecrackers in Dien Chau, Cua Lo.

(Baonghean.vn) - Based on information from local residents, a firework trader was discovered and arrested by authorities in Dien Chau district.

At approximately 6:30 PM on December 19th, a task force from the Dien Chau Traffic Police Station and the PC67 Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) received a tip about a suspect riding a large-displacement motorcycle without a license plate who appeared to be transporting prohibited goods (fireworks). They signaled the suspect to stop for an administrative inspection. The task force discovered a sack containing 9 boxes of firecrackers (36 firecrackers per box) weighing a total of 14 kg, manufactured in China, and 3 bags of spherical firecrackers weighing nearly 1 kg.

The suspect is Pham Viet Duc.

The driver was identified as Pham Viet Duc (born in 1997, residing in Dien An, Dien Chau). Duc confessed that he was transporting the aforementioned firecrackers from Dien Ky to Dien Xuan for sale. However, he was discovered and arrested by law enforcement officers en route.

The items were seized.

On the night of December 19th, suspect Pham Viet Duc and the seized evidence were handed over to the Dien Chau District Police for handling according to their jurisdiction.

At the police station, the suspect identified himself as Tran Van Khoi (born in 1998), residing in Hamlet 8, Thanh Van Commune, Thanh Chuong District. It was revealed that Khoi purchased the fireworks from an individual named Danh (whose specific address is unknown) for 5 million VND. He was apprehended by the police in Block 2, Nghi Huong Ward, Cua Lo Town.

The seized items included 10 boxes of firecrackers weighing 16 kg, manufactured in China. The case is currently being handled by the police in accordance with the law.
