(Baonghean.vn) - That was the emphasis of comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee at the conference to contribute ideas to amend Regulation No. 101/QD-TW of the Secretariat on the responsibility of setting an example for cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels, and to develop regulations of the Politburo on preventing and combating the practice of buying and selling positions and power, organized by the Central Organizing Committee.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong affirmed: The Party leads in many different forms, from ideology, politics, organization to personnel work; in which, ultimately, personnel work is the most important step. Our Uncle Ho also taught: "Cadres are the root of the work".
And in society, for the people, the position and role of the Party, the image of the Party are fully present in Party members; good Party members make the Party good and vice versa, any tarnishing of Party members will affect the image and position of the Party and even seriously affect it.
Analyzing the new vitality of the economy when we follow the market mechanism, comrade Nguyen Van Thong also said that the market mechanism has created many negative aspects and phenomena. The most prominent is the state of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, the degeneration and corruption of cadres and party members, eroding the people's trust in the Party and the regime.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: Corruption, negativity, and waste have long been warned as factors affecting the survival of the Party, but they still exist and manifest painfully today. Many Party members and cadres no longer consider the Party organization as a place for them to contribute, to sacrifice, to serve the people, to serve the revolution; but consider it a place that creates conditions for them to "enrich themselves and their families". They are no longer exemplary, although the Party's ideals are still very beautiful and sparkling.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong also raised the issue: Lack of exemplary behavior is a manifestation of serious degradation in the implementation of pioneering spirit, sacrifice, spirit, and attitude of serving the people of cadres and party members. Buying and selling positions and power is a special form of corruption and negativity; it is extremely dangerous because it occurs right at the "root" of the work of cadres.
