Suspect arrested after robbing a gold shop 50 hours after the crime.
After 50 hours of investigation, on the morning of January 4th, law enforcement units apprehended Phan Bao Nhat (born in 1993), the perpetrator of a daring robbery at a gold shop in Nhan Co commune, while he was hiding in the Ngoc Hoi area of Quang Ngai province.
Earlier, at around 3:40 PM on January 1st, Phan Bao Nhat, disguised and with his face covered, broke into a gold shop in Hamlet 3, Nhan Co Commune, Lam Dong Province, and used force to steal a large quantity of gold jewelry of 980 and 610 purity, totaling approximately 500 million VND.
Upon receiving the report, the Lam Dong Provincial Police Directorate immediately directed the Criminal Police Department to coordinate with the Nhan Co Commune Police and other professional units to urgently investigate and track down the suspect.
Initial investigations by the police determined that the perpetrator was a local resident, familiar with the area, and had meticulously planned the crime beforehand.
The suspect repeatedly scouted gold shops, prepared clothes to alter his appearance, and used fake license plates to conceal his whereabouts and facilitate his escape.committing a crime.
After 50 hours of continuous investigation, the police force located and arrested Phan Bao Nhat while he was hiding in the Ngoc Hoi area, Quang Ngai province, seizing many pieces of evidence related to the case. During questioning by the police, the suspect confessed to all his criminal acts.
The Criminal Investigation Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police is currently transporting the suspect back to the locality to continue the investigation and handle the case according to regulations.
