Arrest of suspect who stabbed a mobile police officer to death
When invited to the headquarters for drug testing, Duong Huu Tri did not comply but burned the police car and went back into his house to barricade himself. He then used a knife to stab a riot police officer to death while approaching and controlling him.
The Investigation Police Agency of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province announced this afternoon (March 3) that it had just arrested Duong Huu Tri (also known as "Ty heo", 38 years old, residing in Ward 7, Vung Tau City) to investigate the acts of Murder and Resisting a person on duty.
According to the initial investigation, at around 7:35 this morning, the working group of Ward 7 Police, Vung Tau City, came to the house to invite Duong Huu Tri to the headquarters for a drug test. At this time, Tri did not comply but chased and slashed him with a knife, then turned around and burned the working group's motorbike.

Upon receiving the report, the regional criminal investigation team in charge of Vung Tau City (PC02 Department, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police) assigned forces to coordinate with professional units of the Provincial Police, Mobile Police and Ward 7 Police to mobilize and persuade Tri, but he did not comply.
While entering to control the subject, Tri suddenly rushed out of the house and stabbed soldier Nguyen Ngoc Minh N. (24 years old, mobile police) once in the right chest, seriously injuring the soldier.

Immediately afterwards, the task force took soldier N. to the hospital for emergency treatment. At around 1:30 p.m. the same day, soldier N. died.
Tri was controlled, arrested and taken to the police station for questioning afterwards.
Currently, PC02 is coordinating with the Procuracy and professional units to examine the scene and investigate the case.
