Arrest of the subject running a huge gambling ring wanted by Interpol
Da Nang police have just coordinated with relevant units to arrest a foreign man wanted by Interpol for operating an illegal gambling website.
On March 9, Da Nang Police said that they had coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) to hand over Im Ju Seob (53 years old, Korean nationality) to Korean authorities for extradition to Vietnam for handling according to regulations.
This subject was issued a red notice by Interpol for operating an illegal gambling website.

According to the police, through professional measures, since February 2024, the Immigration Department (Da Nang City Police) discovered that Im Ju Seob had an international arrest warrant and was hiding in the area.
Previously, this person entered Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat International Airport and stayed in Ho Chi Minh City for a while.
After receiving information that Im Ju Seob was staying at a hotel in Ngu Hanh Son district (Da Nang), the authorities organized an ambush, followed and arrested this person.
Im Ju Seob was accused by South Korean authorities of operating an illegal gambling website. The website was hosted in the Philippines and operated from early 2017 to late 2019.
This website attracts a large number of players, placing bets and withdrawing money through many bank accounts with a total online betting amount of over 44.3 billion Won (equivalent to more than 800 billion VND).
