Arrested subject holding sickle to gas station owner's neck to rob money
The police have caught the subject using a sickle to rob the gas station owner's neck.
On the morning of December 6, Quang Nam Provincial Police announced that the authorities had arrested Vu Viet Hai (41 years old, from Huu Van commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi) for the crime ofrobbery.
According to information from the authorities, at around 7:00 a.m. the same day, the Provincial Police in coordination with Tam Ky City Police arrested Vu Viet Hai while he was hiding in Truong Xuan Ward (Tam Ky City).
While on the run, this subject also committed a robbery on Bach Dang Street (Tam Ky City) on the afternoon of December 5.
Authorities are currently detaining Hai to assist in the investigation.
Previously, at 7:42 p.m. on November 26, Hai wore a green raincoat and helmet and rode his motorbike into a gas station in Tien Canh commune (Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province) to fill up with gas.
While the gas station owner was pumping gas, Vu Viet Hai used a sickle to hold to the owner’s neck and demanded money. After taking more than 15.6 million VND, Hai sped away.
On December 1, Tien Phuoc District Police issued a special wanted notice for Vu Viet Hai.
