Authorities arrested a suspect for setting up a makeshift shelter to buy, sell, and transport large quantities of drugs.

Previously, through intelligence gathering, the Quy Chau District Police discovered that Luong Van Dung (born in 1961), residing in Quang Phong commune, Que Phong district, showed signs of drug-related crimes with very sophisticated and aggressive methods. To evade law enforcement, this individual set up shacks and frequently hid in the forest area bordering Quy Chau and Que Phong districts.retail sale of narcotics.

Given the above situation, after consulting with and obtaining the approval of the Provincial Police leadership, the Quy Chau District Police, in coordination with the Provincial Police's Drug Crime Investigation Department, established a special case to combat the problem.

After a period of persistent monitoring and intelligence gathering, and with the effective implementation of professional measures, at 6:00 AM on June 10, 2024, under the direction of the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police, the Quy Chau District Police and the Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Provincial Police jointly cracked the case, arresting Luong Van Dung red-handed for the illegal buying, selling, and transporting of narcotics.

At the scene, the police seized 4,000 synthetic drug pills, 40 grams of heroin, one knife, two mobile phones, and other related evidence. The arrest was carried out safely for the task force and the public.

Currently, the Quy Chau District Police are holding the suspect in custody to continue the investigation and expand the scope of the case.
